My recent paintings are painted by working from photographs taken during my travels at sea and to various coastal areas. Most of these travels are done in my work as a Merchant Marine, sailor, and commercial fisherman. I often layer days upon days by stacking paintings done on fiberglass cloth and panel. I merge these layers with epoxy, allowing the scenes to blend into one homogenious image. Like a memory, the result is blurred between fact and creation.
