Pretty simple concept, I used the template of a seascape (horizon/sea/sky) and filled it with small sections of sea and sky that I painted using photographs, taken from each row at dawn, as my source material. Each row started in Aquatic Park in San Francisco. Some mornings the rows were longer, around Alcatraz or to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. Sometimes it was a battle to go 100 yards against the winds or current.
